Whether you’ve got curly hair or not, we all have the days where we wake up and our hair is knotty, crunchy and just feels and looks disgusting. Sometime we have time to wash our hair and add mouse etc, but other times we need to get out the house and go to school or somewhere else in a hurry. Here are a few tricks to help you hide and fix your disgusting curls.
1. Wet your hair
You may not have time to completely wash your hair, but simply wetting the curls will flatten frizziness and allow you to brush through the knots. If you have a bit more time, wash the hair in a sink. This is faster than taking a whole shower and gets the same end result.
2. Put your hair in a messy bun
Messy buns are ideal for messy curls as it hide the curls and, if done properly, has a really pretty casual look. When doing a messy bun, you want to place it near the top of your head but not to near the front. To add more volume and messiness you can brush through your curls as this will create thick frizziness which will make the bun a lot bigger.
3. Simply put the hair in a ponytail
Putting your hair in a ponytail won’t get rid of the disgusting curls, but it will make it less in your face and not as obviously messy. Like the messy bun put the ponytail fairly high on your hair but not quite as high, as the actual curls in the ponytail will cover your face. If you like you can pull out some wispies at the front and add an accessory of your choice.
4. Brush out the knots
Brushing is something that is not recommended for curly hair as it makes your hair go frizzy. I would normally agree but personally, I would rather have frizzy hair than knotty hair. If you brush your hair it will get rid of the knots, and the frizz from the brushing will die down, and if you wet it with some water it will eliminate the frizz all together. Also if you brush your hair, you can then put it in a messy bun or ponytail, showed in step three and four.
